Last night I sat on my couch wondering what do we challenge our people with? Why have we as Churches now a days focused so much on age being what shows spiritual maturity? How can we call ourselves leaders if our house is out-of-order? If I’m burning with a true passion, then my family follows right? I am the head of my house!

As I sat on the couch talking to my wife last night I began to think about where the Church was when it started and where we have taken it and our perceptions now. Our elders and leaders in the Church are chosen because they understand the vision that the Pastors have and they should set the tone for the entire body of Christ. Our Church does a great job of keeping its leaders accountable and knowing who they set in. But we can’t look at a single Church and focus on one doing it right and not the other. This is just something weighing on my heart so don’t take it as me saying that any one Church is messed up, but as me just making observations about how our pursuit is after Jesus, the one who made the Church.

When I look at people who I want to be discipled by, the first thing I watch about them is their children. Children tell a lot about someone and the way they are in their own private life. You can’t have children that aren’t disciplined and call yourself a leader. If you disagree with me then ask yourself how your going to be able to talk and discipline your disciples when you can’t even do it with the ones you train from birth. Most comments to this would be well they aren’t discipled in that area. Well as disciples aren’t we supposed to sacrifice our entire life to being discipled? We can’t be discipled in one area and not the other and call ourselves disciples. Now there is a time when children grow up and make their own decisions, but by the time that happens I should have devoted all of my energy into building them up with their eyes focused on Jesus and being a disciple.

How does being religious make you a good leader? Now when I say religious I’m talking about someone who can’t move any where other than what they have done in the past. If your worship doesn’t change as God challenges you to grow, if your Bible reading is nothing more than reading, if your prayer life and language never changes. Where are you actually growing? Because you are allowed to have your voice heard doesn’t make you a leader. Passionate pursuit is what creates you or makes you stand out as a leader. My wife and I have had dozens of people between the ages of 18 and 30 come up to us and say how much they admire our passion for Jesus and that our children are so awesome. Now that doesn’t come from just being there or from us forcing leadership on any body. It stems from me being the leader in my house! I set the tone for my family to constantly be finding more of God.

Humans are creators of habit, is what most of the world would say. I do think that this has taken the Church to where it is now, but as followers of Christ, we should be changing and growing as we find more of Him in us. If the Church is doing the same thing now as they did in 1999, then how are you going to change a world that is constantly changing? You can’t! If we tried to talk about abstinence the same way we did in 1990, then you won’t affect anything because the world has become more acceptable of sex in our generation. We have to let God change us so that we can change the world.

Spiritual maturity should grow as you get older and experience more things, but the key word is experience! I am a very strong believer that experience is what brings maturity. The more experiences and relationship you build with God the more mature in the spirit will grow. It isn’t from knowing God longer, but from building yourself in Him longer. You could know God for 50 years but unless your letting God work through you to reach others, than where have you grown? Jesus told us to share His love with the world! Having gray hair doesn’t make you more mature in the spirit. Now the way God has formed us, it should, but we have gotten to comfortable with just being the voice in other Christians lives.

Most children who are in a home that experience divorce mature faster than other children. This is not a healthy maturity but it can be formed into spiritual maturity if you know how to disciple them in certain areas. The point I really want to hit is, age doesn’t determine leadership, however it does determine honor. What I mean is, if we look at David the shepherd, we will see that he honored his brothers deeply. But he was the one chosen by God because of the passionate moments he had spent with Him. The day he walked out and slayed Goliath, I’m pretty confident in saying that all those older guys standing on the ridge line where making fun of him as he walked out into the valley that none of them would go. It didn’t cause David to doubt what God was going to do through him, but everyone else doubted that David could lead them to victory because of age and size. What about Joseph, his brothers hated him so much because his father loved him and gave him great things. But his brothers despite the fathers love sold him into slavery. There came a time where his brothers found themselves bowing down to him and out of honor for them he embraces them. These where both young men in a house of older men. I’m not saying that God chooses young people all the time, but I will say that God has a heart for young people because of their passionate zeal, and He can work change into them. They aren’t set in their ways and have a we have to do it this way mentality. God doesn’t care about age, gender, race, or even your past. He wants to take you to a place of spiritual maturity. Unless you allow him to make changes in you, your growth will be limited to what you keep as a habit.

These things are pouring into my heart for a reason. God is challenging me and in turn, I’m challenging you! Sit down and examine your relationship with the Alpha and Omega. Ask Him where you are lacking in growth and relationship. I’m not saying to sit down and pray about it, I’m really saying ask Him. God is not so stuck up that you can’t just talk to Him. I love having Q and A time with God. It’s so awesome that He loves us so much that He will just answer our questions. Leaders and Elders ask how we can pursue Jesus more passionately so that where ever we go people notice God in us. Not just because you give someone a holy God Bless You, but because they see our passion oozing out. Our pursuit after Him should have the world pursuing after us to find out what separates us from everybody else. If people aren’t pursuing you to find out what is different about you, then ask God why not.

This isn’t written to make you feel bad or feel good about yourself, I’m writing it to let people know whats weighing on my heart and what God is doing in me. God wants to do something in His Church that the world has never seen and it will drastically change the way we form the Church for our children. inheritance is a vital piece to growth in the Church and letting God be the deciding factor in where His Church is going.

Meditating and praying this week I started to focus on the vision that God has given my family and what steps have to be taken to get there. As God took me into a secret place with Him I began to realize that one mans vision can’t be accomplished without His disciples having vision.

When God gives our Pastors vision for where they are taking their Church, there are disciples around them that have to know what the vision is and where God is taking the His body. That vision is the head and should be what each disciple is praying over daily. Once this happens and your heart is focused on the vision of your pastor, God is going to start giving disciples visions that help with the battle plan to reach the head vision.

For example, each ministry should always be focused on growth. If you’re not growing then you are stagnant and soon you will start having people fall because they aren’t growing and doing what Jesus commanded us to do. To take what He gave us out to all the world. Pastors and leaders want to see their Church on fire, with a passion that everyone in their region sees. They also get plans to do so such as small groups or other types of ministry. But it really comes down to leaders having vision that cause more of an impact in the region. To draw more hearts in and get these people in a passionate relationship with Jesus.

It is very easy for people now a days to focus on what they want to do instead of what God has set in front of them. Our first thoughts usually go towards the easy path because we don’t want to struggle or as men we don’t want to put our families at risk. But how do we expect God to do miracles in our own life if we don’t put trust in Him to provide. Instead we take things into our own hands and start thinking for ourselves.

God gives disciples vision to provide more vision into the house and help build a structure and culture of honor. If your disciples have vision and we just ignore it or blow it off because we are trying to think for ourselves or focus on what worked in the past, then we are taking away from what God wants to do in our own life and ministry. Let God work and if you trained your disciples right there is nothing to worry about! God has control!

It is TIME! God has stirred my heart deeper in the last month than ever before. Vision has caused this hunger to grow in such a way that my heart is breaking for things that never really impacted me. It’s time for the Church to move in a revolution. I want to show you what I’m talking about by explaining why a revolution and what revolution means for the Church.

Revolution is defined as an overthrow or repudiation and the thorough replacement of an established government or political system by the people governed. A radical and pervasive change in society and the social structure. One made suddenly and often accompanied by violence. A sudden, complete or marked change in something. A procedure or course, as if in a circuit, back to a starting point. A single turn of this kind.

The definition alone should stir excitement in your heart, but what I want you to look at is the difference in the Church that Jesus built and what we have built Church as it is today. God gave me a vision for a revolution that the entire Church is going to feel the ripple effect out of. Freedom in America has been manipulated to the mind-set of selfishness. The first thing most people think about when they hear freedom is, I am free to do what ever I want. Freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of religion. You see we have taken a beautiful word like freedom and made it all about what I can get at the current moment. Freedom is so much more than a selfish thought. Freedom should be a mind-set of what we bring as an inheritance to the generation to come. That in freedom it doesn’t mean absolutely no control, but that it establishes a government of open minds, thinking outside of the normal. Hundreds of thousands, it’s probably safe to say that even millions have given their lives for this one word that has changed many nations through out History. So why have we watered it down to a selfish mindset?

We have been called to advance the Kingdom of Heaven violently and instead we walk around on our tip toes afraid that we might offend the same people who persecute us. You see I grew up in Church my entire life, was prophesied over at least once a year since I was 12 that I would Pastor. But was never shown how to be passionate and truly love and build a relationship with Jesus. I found myself at age 18 telling God to leave me alone, I was to hurt to continue. It wasn’t tell I met Pastor Mike Bost that I started to understand. He began discipling me and showing me how to grow. By that time I had walked away from God for 5 years. I didn’t want anything to do with God and I find myself months after meeting my Pastor on my kitchen floor weeping and crying out to God for His mercy! This moment has defined me and the way the rest of my life will be!

We have made Church and growth all about us when the love that Abba Father has given us is made to go back out and shared. Do you think that you grow for your own needs? God does give you growth for you to find more of Him, but it’s not for you. It’s for the people who your supposed to take that love and wisdom back out too! Your growth is used to impact and develop more people with the same heart and passion! So if your passion is weak then you will build more weak people with a manipulated mind-set.

This revolution will begin by reaching out to the people who have been hurt by the Church and the people who have never had that true relationship with their Daddy God. They will find us everywhere! In the stores they shop in, in the bookstores, in the malls, the airports, the subways. We are going to begin to strategically place ourselves in places that infect an entire generation and build a new foundation based off the church and vision that Jesus had for the Church. We won’t go out and condemn, but we will go out and love and relate to people by showing them that Christians are real people. We aren’t so Holy that we confine ourselves from them but that we open our arms, homes, lives, and our walk with God to them in a way that changes their life forever. We will go after homosexuals, loving them in a way that shows them their true identity in Christ. We will go after the abused, proving that God’s love is more than enough to conquer their fears and ability to trust and be loved. We will chase down the hypocrites and prove that true relationship is the only way to truly have God. Miracles, signs, and wonders will begin to explode across our nation!

Church, it is time to lay ourselves down and build a bridge for world to walk across and meet God like they have never seen! We will fill the gap for this Nation! Just as Jesus was the gap filler between us and God, we will be the gap filler between the lost and Jesus! The Church doesn’t need to change, what needs to change is the mind-set of the Body! We have been given all power and authority, and have been told that we will do greater things than Jesus did! So what are we waiting for? God has already told you to go, do you think He needs to tell you again?

Where we have found ourselves is in a place where we get people to the point where they know God but don’t know the authority they have in Him. Ok, you introduced them to Jesus, they said the prayer of salvation. Great! Now take them out and teach them how to do works in the name of Jesus. We have gotten comfortable with Church instead of moving into areas that build our faith! We have broken Ministry down to “well your made to go out to the streets and talk to people!” This is the purpose of the entire Church if it wasn’t Jesus would have broken His disciples down into certain areas of ministry. Peter, you stay in Church and preach, John, you just greet people as they come in. Thomas, you go out and evangelise. We are all called to take the love of God out with us and share with the world.

Revolution is here, and God has given me a vision to take out to the entire world. His Glory is all over this generation and He is calling for His sons and daughters to take their inheritance and share it with the world. I’m not hungry for building or separating the foundation, but building upon what has been set in for thousands of years. We will find them in the streets hurting and lost, and we will teach them how to love and grow in God. Then we will take them back out and watch them change people’s lives right beside us. The ripple effect of this revolution will cause the Church to change in a way that no one has ever seen before! It is time for a Revolution!

I’m totally messed up today about a couple of things and just wanted to share. People can be very judgemental in everything you do. As people we have so many opinions and thoughts on different things and we want everybody to know what we think. The funny thing is that most of the time we spend telling people about how they are. We look at them and see them the way that our brain processes. I don’t care how Holy we think we are, we aren’t God and can’t judge people the same way God judges them. God created their charchter and His Holy Spirit works on their character.

This is being stirred in my heart because I sat down and expressed with someone the other day, that I’m tired of people trying to tear others down so that they can feel special! I sometimes want to look at people and tell them after they say something not uplifting, get away from me satan! Most of the time it’s easy to say something because “your just trying to help” or as a leader, “I just want to help that person grow.” Well how are you helping growth if you’re causing insecurities in someone by expressing your opinion before you even pray about what you’re addressing them on? Some of you might pray about it first but most would speak before they pray because they know that their way is the right way and only way! Who told you that? It’s bad enough that we have a hard time taking the love of Jesus out into the streets without being fake, but now we have set so many guidelines on what is right that we have taken away from how the Holy Spirit wants to move in and through people, and it all stems out of opinion.

I have known for many years that God has been directing me into Ministry. I know that He is going to use me greatly and impact many people who will cause a ripple effect in the Church as a whole. This is expressed through visions and prophecy given to me over the span of my 29 years. I share very little with a lot of people because I have found that people will shut you out or not take you seriously because their opinion gets in the way.

I have people tell me all the time about what my personality is like, but what they don’t understand is that God made me the way I am because people relate to me and need someone like me. It’s the same thing with you, God has created you for a purpose and your personality defines that purpose. Jesus worked on His disciples for three years training them and building their characters, then He told them to go and spread what they have been taught. Why has it changed for us? Most people can sit on their butts and their entire lives never move into building disciples and changing the world! I believe part of that stems from someone, sometime, somewhere, telling them that “you can’t do that.” Or maybe something as simple as, “Well you know you just don’t have the heart to take care of people yet.” What we do is opinionate our thoughts and then we tie them to that person like bricks and throw them off a bridge. We destroy what God is trying to birth and build in them with our thoughts on the subject before we even pray to see what God says. The funny thing is that the opinion might be right at the moment, but God has placed that in their heart to build them up for that and instead of assisting we destroy the foundation.

I really don’t feel like this is something that we notice ourselves doing when talking but I know it happens because when someone says something to you and the words play over and over in your head, that is the Devil! Our opinions should be based on what God sees and says about people and not what our fleshly way of thinking says. Even our past experiences sometimes can be used as a guide but by no means should be expressed in a way that causes someone to doubt what God has placed in someones heart!

I’m talking about this because God has been putting this on my heart lately, and as people say things that try to tear me down, I just laugh at them now. For a long time I would let the devil play mind games with me to the point that eventually it starts to eat away at my passion for more. Not anymore, I have risen above people’s comments and discouraging words by praying and letting God deal with my heart and the vision He has given me. I want to see everyone enabled into this same freedom. A freedom that allows the Holy Spirit to work His glory in us instead of being broken down by the people around us. You were made for glory and to be victorious over every area in your life, it doesn’t have guidelines and stipulations. It’s a promise! If we let people around us cause insecurity by stating their opinion, you will never grow. There is no room for insecurity in Kingdom living! God made you a certain way to impact differently than other people around you. If everybody was the same then how could we reach an entire Generation. Let God be your judge and let the Holy Spirit be your counsel and guide.

I didn’t write this to be condemning but to show that Love is expressed through many ways, and that your words are crucial for growth in your family, friends, and even the people you come in contact with everyday. Be uplifting and build people up with your words so that they don’t have to deal with insecurities. The Holy Spirit will do His job! Trust Him and let Him be the factor that has caused us to make people stagnant. Don’t try and change people, show them how to love God passionately, and then embrace the way God has made them and how God wants to use them.

1 John 4:17 The Message Bible
[ To Love, to Be Loved ] God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love.

As I listened to a Jonathan David Hesler CD yesterday and heard something that hit me like a ton of bricks. He said “God can’t love you any more! He can’t love you any less!” As he said this I just started to think about what was just said and how our love is different from God’s. God is love, so everything that comes out of Him is represented through love. Growing up it was always a big thing to talk about God’s wrath and fearing him because He is God. Fearing God doesn’t stem from being afraid of Him, it comes out of a supernatural love that we could never comprehend in our own lives.

God could never love you anymore than He already does! Some people would probably question this, but what can you do to make God, who is love, love you more. Pray more, read your Bible more, maybe go out and heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons? These are all common things that should be a common part of being His children. Those of us with children know that we just love our children, there isn’t one thing that they could do to change that love for them. The problem with not understanding God’s love stems from being insecure with who we are in Him. We don’t see ourselves as children, but more as friends that we can change our feelings about.

God can’t love you any less! There is nothing, no matter how bad it is, that will keep God from loving you. Think about King David, the man after God’s own heart. He messed up after having a relationship with God like no man has really ever grasped. We have all been at a place in our lives where we don’t know how God can forgive us. If you have never felt this way then I’m happy for you, because when I felt this way my heart broke and I asked God “how could you love me? I’ve done so many things to show you that I wanted you to leave me alone.” I even cried out one day after my mom had just died and my dad was on his way to prison, “God just leave me alone! I don’t want to have anything to do with you!” Even as I screamed this from the top of my lungs at age 16 trying to push Him away, He never stopped loving me. In fact as I came back in to encounters of His love He took me even further into Him and His love. Nothing we could do or say can change who God is. He is made of love, all of creation was made through love.

I understand now why Jesus asked Peter over and over, Peter do you love me? How could we love God with a love that we don’t comprehend? You see our love for most things in life change. That is one of the reasons that marriages today are the way they are. We have the highest rate of divorce now than we have ever had before. Divorcereform.org took a pole in 2004 that said 4.95 out of a 1000 people have had a divorce in the United States. And if that doesn’t break your heart then you need to know that the United States has the highest divorce rate out of any other country. It’s because we have a hard time understanding love from lust, needs, and wants.

Lust is defined as a passionate or overmastering desire or craving. Yes we have a passionate desire for more of God but love isn’t just about desire. Lust doesn’t cause us to take God’s love and pour it back out into others, because lust is about what I can get from something. Lust is a desire that benefits me and only me not affecting anyone else around me.

Need is defined as a requirement, necessary duty, or obligation. If you feel that you are required to love God back, then you have missed the point! God isn’t obligated to love you, it’s who He is! Love comes out of Him because it is the essence of what defines Him and has produced creation. If love was a requirement for all creation then sin wouldn’t be an issue and would have never been brought into the world. Adam and Eve were created to love and fully understood God’s love for them. They walked with God in the garden! But even with as deep of a relationship as they had, they had a choice to step out of love. They were given many commands that they did obey, but missed the one that showed true obedience and love back to God.

Wanting defined means to fall short by (a specified amount). In no structure of God’s love do we fall short to Him. Maybe in our own minds we can think or say I just missed it. But you can never miss God’s love, He never stops loving you any more or less. What we confuse this with is our own thought process on how love works. Although we might step out in our own understanding of love, the Bible tells us that we never can step out where he won’t love us. Look at the story of the prodigal son! Even though the son stepped out of his own love for his father, his father never stopped loving him and even welcomed him back with opened arms. Neither one of the sons understood the fathers love just as we don’t understand our Father’s love.

I don’t even want to bring up the definition of how we define love because I’m convinced that we don’t truly understand it. Only one man to ever walk the earth truly knew how to represent the fullness of God’s love and He gave His life for the world so that we might be able to understand God’s love as much as we do today. I recently wrote a song that’s titled Overwhelmed. This is truly a love song to my Daddy, Abba! The chorus just repeating very simply I love you, I love you, oh how I love you. Everytime I sit down and play it my heart breaks because I know that no matter how much I try to love Him I can never give back what He has given me. His love for me is so overwhelming it puts me in tears of joy to know that no matter how stupid I act sometimes God’s love for me is the same. I love Him so much that I would lay down my life for someone else to feel the same way or even more than I feel when He just wraps His loving arms around me. This causes my heart to see people for who they really are, and makes me heart broken for a generation that needs to feel His love.

I could keep going on about this but I really believe that God will show you more of His love through just reading what is already here. I hope that this was something that captured your heart as deep as it has mine. God is love and all He can do is continue to love you and love you and love you! It never ends, but you can decide how much of that love you choose to understand and how much you choose to return. If it will just be another religious way of how the men and women of God today portray love, or whether you choose to walk in such a deep understanding of His love that you can’t help but pour it back out into others around you and change the world!

When I was fifteen my Dad had a singing ministry that I was apart of. My Dad has a beautiful voice and taught us how to sing from our diaphragm. As I was singing one morning my Youth Pastor that honestly couldn’t hold a note told me that when I sing it sounded like I was talking. Well needless to say I quit singing and didn’t really have a desire to sing. She had caused me to be insecure about my voice and what God was doing in me at that time. When you look at what was going on in the natural my body was changing and so was my voice. I probably couldn’t find my range because my voice changing. But instead of speaking life and encouragement she caused me to quit singing and think that even when I do that I’m no good at it.

When we are the voice in someone’s life, how do we speak things to prepare them for whats ahead? We have been given the ability to speak life into every situation, so with it also came the ability to speak death. A lot of times we have no idea whats going on around us because we are so focused on our selves. So if we’re focused on what God’s doing in us, how are we supposed to see for the people leaning on us to receive? God has created a government of honor and leadership to adhere to people around us, so that His calling for people can be reached to their max potential.

We are given dreams and visions for a reason and a purpose! No one can stop what God has called you to do. Why would they want too? If a revival pours out of an 11-year-old child because he or she is doing what God has called them too, I’m gonna assist in any way that I can to make sure that the vision given to that child succeeds and changes the world around them. As leaders we have to be able to accept the things that God is calling our people towards and know that God has control of what happens. We don’t have power to draw hearts to God. God uses our hearts as a vessel to draw people in, but when it really comes down to it, the Holy Spirit draws and engages the hearts of His people. The Holy Spirit gives visions and dreams because He sees the heart of the man or woman.

Building leaders and dreamers comes through allowing people to discover God with in themselves. You have to allow people to learn and grow with God by doing the things God has called them to do. When someone comes to you with what God is working inside them, the first reaction that shouldn’t be given is why they can’t accomplish this vision. It should be in showing them how to build it or apply it to the body.

This is weighing so heavy on my heart because God recently gave me a vision for where my family is going. I’m not going to explain the vision to you being that God is still putting things in order for where He wants it to go. But this is a vision that He showed me would impact our region and our Church so much that a generation would feel the impact. As I told the people closest to me what God was showing me they were in full support. God had even showed them how it would be built and the ripple effects to continually cause growth. Before I even told them my vision they told me things that I sat and listened to in amazement because God was showing me what He wanted out of this Ministry.

So I asked myself, have I done that for the people around me? Have I allowed them to be their fullness in God? I like to think I do, but really how many times do we look at our disciples and ask “Ok, where is God taking you?” I pray and listen for where I think God’s taking them but we have to put the entire puzzle together to see the picture by allowing them to share what God is doing in them. I would bet on it every time that God is speaking things to the leader that are going on in the heart of the disciple, but both parts are different bringing the entire thing into one complete vision and where it’s going.

Well I’ve talked about leaders but what about the person taking a vision to their leader? You can’t just walk in and drop a vision with out the plan that God has given you to produce growth. No one would ever plant a seed and never water it, and not have a plan on what to do as the seed grows. With a vision God gives you a plan to cause growth. Never will He give us something and let us just sit stagnant waiting for something to happen. God gives the vision so that it will multiply through the ministry. That’s why as the Body we have to have the same vision as our Pastors. Pray about the vision and don’t be afraid to sit down and just have some questions and answers time with God. He will answer the questions you need to know to fulfill the vision He has set before you. God’s plan to change the world included you in it and you are a large piece to it.

Many people are having visions and dreams now, more than I have ever heard about in my life time, and this wasn’t written to condemn or cause strife. But to cause our minds to open up to what God wants to do around us. To be able to go into the streets and see the hearts of the people who God has created. My heart is breaking for this generation! I want to see a move of God that every man, woman, and child that is alive during this time will be dramatically affected by! I share the heart of my Pastor for this region and everything that is built, will be to glorify God and to produce and reproduce for the Kingdom.

God works through the Holy Spirit to constantly build on to your faith and walk with Him. The one thing we have to always remember is that God’s plan for us is to constantly move from Glory to Glory. That doesn’t take us out of the place we are to sit back and watch God work through others. He wants to use you! He’s called you to certain areas to occupy your focus and attention on the people who you get to serve. Often we look at Pastors as the head and father over that ministry, it’s completely true, but we forget to see them as the servant. They are the biggest servants in the house.

Think of it this way, as the father of my house I go to work and bring home money for my house. I set the tone for where my family is going as we seek God out. As a Mother, she nurtures and assists in every area that she can, to bring the home into unity. My children do have chores but as babies all they do is eat, cry, and play. As parents we have to devote our time to building them up in the way they should go. Sometimes they make messes and their to little to know how to clean up properly, so we have to show them how to clean. As parents we do a majority of the work in the house by just providing for our house. Well, our Pastors provide for us, which makes them the biggest servants in the house.

Having a servant’s heart will drive you to find dreams and visions that God is placing before you for your next leap into glory. God wants to use people who want to serve, not their needs, but the need for His Church. When we are told to do something, whether by the Holy Spirit or our spiritual leaders, the first thing that we need is a vision for it. There should never be a moment when we are literally not doing nothing and calling it a “Season!” There is always a next level of glory that God is pushing us towards.

Being a servant is always the best way to prepare yourself for the next level. But we also have to constantly seek God with a passion deeper then the last day. That passion will drive you to read your Bible and to pray, and not just pray but talk to God and let Him know whats on your heart. Your passion will always be professed through your mouth. Love will take you beyond your normal way of thinking and move you into a supernatural calling that has been set before you. Lust breaks things down and destroys relationships, so lusting for power or a title will only cause you to be bitter and envious of the people who are truly loving what God is doing.

Glory to glory doesn’t involve only you! Preparation for where ever God is moving you doesn’t only involve you! God moves us from Glory to Glory to use you as a tool to move others to their next level. Our minds should never be focused only on what is next for us. Why would God only want to use you to impact you? God moves on you and through you for others. If I wanted to grow only for myself, how would I express God’s love through my growth. Pastor Mike Bost has said many times that using God for only your needs is like treating Him like a prostitute. That’s exactly what we are doing when our focus is concentrated on only ourselves, for ourselves.

Growth comes after the preparation comes for that growth. You can’t take people out of the stands and put them in a professional football game. Someone would get killed! Those players have to practice and prepare for each and every game. Every game is different and they have to prepare differently as the season goes on. So why would we think that growth in ourselves comes when we force it or do it our way, so we can get our way? We have to prepare ourselves for what is coming. Living in love with a true servants heart is a great start for preparation.

These things are also a key to growth in Ministry. God isn’t going to give you more people to disciple if you can barely handle what you have now. You have to be prepared for growth and also prepare your disciples for the growth that will take place. If the Holy Spirit sees that your ministry is ready for growth doors will open. We have a very prideful way of thinking most of the time, by thinking we have something to do with why growth will happen. The Holy Spirit draws in people, you can talk tell your blue in the face, but until the Holy Spirit prepares a heart to receive, all we can do is be obedient and share God’s love.

I bought my wife a shirt a couple of years ago that has the saying “Think Global Act Local” on it. I bought the shirt knowing that it was talking about the enviroment but couldn’t help but think this is a principal we could all apply.

Many people want to be world changers, when you really think about it no matter what you’re doing people are always trying to build followers. You always want to have a lot of depth no matter what you’re doing, sports, Church, even in organizations, like politics or just trying to save the planet. In order to build you have to start with everything around you. When Kings would want to expand their Kingdom they would always start taking over land around them and branch out from there. It is the same principles that we should apply to our everyday life.

We are called to create disciples and to advance the Kingdom of Heaven. Everytime you create a disciple you have placed another warrior for the Kingdom on the battle field ready to advance the lines. Many times its easy to think that we have to do it in order for it to be done, or for us to actually feel like we have made it happen. But the principal of building comes from many hands working together to accomplish a goal. When a house is built there are many hands involved, each subcontractor is responsible for a different part of the house. But when it’s all done and Cleared off by the builder it is sold so that a family can move in and enjoy all the labor that was put into it.

As world changers we have to know that everything around us is a target for Glory. We start building in our homes making our children not only passionate lovers, but lovers that know their identity in Christ and the authority that they have been given. When I focus on my children and who they are in Christ, I want them to know that I’m building them up to change the world for God’s glory. They are taught how to worship, how to tithe and pray, even how to truly give God praise in every area of their life. Then it becomes like a tree branching out to their Children and their children’s children. It is a process of growth that should never die out if it’s done with the right heart and the praise of advancing the Kingdom.

My thought process in building disciples is the same way. Jesus didn’t build disciples because He wanted people to boss around, He taught them so that they could impact the world. Even in Jesus’ home town He was barely respected for who He was! But regardless, He wasn’t discouraged in what He was sent to do. Our neighborhoods should be a huge part of our focus. How can we go out and try to relate to the rest of the world if you don’t even know the people who live around you everyday. Do they know you and who you are?

Be a world changer has nothing to do with being popular, or even trying to be apart of the history books. We become world changers through true praise and worship to glorify our Father in Heaven. Our focus isn’t on what we look like to people but more on how we look to our Daddy as we advance His Kingdom. God recently gave me a vision that has made me so hungry and stirred up inside that it is going to cause a huge impact in our region. The vision was so intense that even with my eyes closed the radiance of the vision was blinding. I kept trying to shut my eyes tighter and tighter trying to block out some of the colors that were blinding me. I couldn’t breath and found myself stuck sitting there paralyzed before Him. I know each and every one of us is hungry to see the world changed and lovers of God built to glorify and lift up the name of the Alpha and Omega. But we have to take action around us locally to send more people out to accomplish this mission.

The vision that God gave me doesn’t take me out of authority and isn’t to build my empire. It is to build on the foundation and the vision that my Pastors already have for their body and the region we are in. God doesn’t want us to step out of authority to try to build our own empire where we can just feel like we are in charge of something. Our leadership should always have a hand in what the next move is to advance. Just as a commander in battle makes the plan and pushes his plan to a lieutenant, who then applies his plan to Squad Leaders to carry out the mission plan. We don’t stand alone in what God wants to do through us. There is always a bigger idea behind what God wants to do through us. Authority is what allows us to move into areas honoring God and our spiritual fathers and mothers.

This Blog seems really simple to me, but God has put this in my heart to write for a reason. I want to see a world that passionately loves God and wants to see Heaven on earth. I am not alone in this and know that there are many people who want to see the same thing. We aren’t alone and don’t have to do everything, my family isn’t what is going to be the thing that changes the world. My family is going to be a huge tool used to change the world, the Holy Spirit leads and directs according to the Fathers will. We will be submissive to our leaders and to the Holy Spirit so that growth and honor are our foundation for what is going to be one of the greatest moves of God!

Thank you for reading and listening to what God has placed in my heart and I hope that my blogs stir a hunger inside of you to see this Generation completely turned upside down in love with Daddy God!

Everyone wants to grow in their Ministry, if you don’t want to grow and multiply, then you definitely need to hand your Ministry over to someone with some vision and a dream for growth. Growth is something often taken simply as getting out and talking to people, or maybe as they come in you immediately try to relate with them. These things do cause relationships to grow and cause visitors to come in and hang out with you, but if there is no presence because you are trying to take control and run things or do things the way you want instead of the way the Holy Spirit wants to move, you won’t see anything but some people who like hanging out with you. People should want to hang out with you, yes, but their relationship with the Father is more important than anything.

Everytime we talk about growth the word relationship comes up, relationship is vital to keeping someone connected and letting them see the things in you so that they can draw from it and find more of God. But relationship and growth in the natural are two different things. Let me show you the definitions of both. Relationship; 1. a connection, association, or involvement. 2. connection between persons by blood or marriage. 3. an emotional or other connection between people: 4. a sexual involvement; affair. Growth is defined as; 1.the act or process, or a manner of growing; development; gradual increase. 2. size or stage of development: It hasn’t yet reached its full growth. 3. completed development. 4. development from a simpler to a more complex stage: the growth of ritual forms. 5. development from another but related form or stage: the growth of the nation state. 6. something that has grown or developed by or as if by a natural process. Relationship and Growth work together but they aren’t a cause and effect. Relationships can cause growth in that relationship, but it doesn’t cause more people to grow in relationship. You have to build with those people to build a seperate relationship. My relationship with God will help people around me, but there growth will come through their own relationship with the Father. Thats why I’m saying growth can happen in relationship but increase comes through growth. Growth comes from the Holy Spirit drawing hearts to Him, you have no control over who He draws or even what He wants to do.

Relationship is vital to growing together in the Spirit. When a visitor comes and you relate with them, that is great they might come to your connection, cell, or home group, whatever you would like to call it. But trying to grow that way will take you a life time! Relationship causes growth between a group or even two people. You will grow to know each other better, but every great revival that has ever kicked off has been because someone let the Holy Spirit do what He wants to do. You definitely need to relate with people, but we need to step out even further and begin to let our hearts be broken for the lost. It’s not about numbers, but it is about them getting to know the Father so they can build a relationship with Him. Your relationship with God causes you to grow in Him, it doesn’t make you pregnant in the natural, although you will probably go through spiritual birth pains! So why would we begin to think because I relate with visitors that I’m causing growth! There already in the building!!! You didn’t cause anything to grow, you related with people who have already been pursued by the Holy Spirit. Paul didn’t have such a great impact because he sat around and related with people that came to watch him preach. Paul affected lives because he went out in his anointing and related with people in the streets. He allowed the Holy Spirit to use him as a light house, drawing in people.

My wife had a vision last night, all she could see was a tall light house. As she got excited and looked up the definition of lighthouse she got even more excited. As she told me I realized that she was prophesying over our family! About two years ago I had a vision of a dry field as far as the eye could see. Throughout the field there were tall light house strategically placed. The lights came on and began to set a violent fire, the winds blew and spread the fire so fast that it couldn’t be put out. Ships are drawn to a lighthouse because it’s the only thing shining in the cold darkness. They don’t know the man working in the lighthouse, they see the light that he is shining and set their course to find the light guiding them through the darkness.

I don’t want you to think I’m saying relationship is not valuable as growth comes, or that I’m devaluing how important relationship is. I want you to understand that the Holy Spirit is what draws hearts to grow and causes people to be drawn to be a servant of the most high. We wouldn’t even begin to think that just because someone has musical talent that they can usher in the presence of God during worship, so why would we think that relating with someone would cause them to be consumed by the Holy Spirit. Relationship is vital to people because it shows them that you value them. Relating with that one person might cause them to bring their family and friends in, but we are talking about a supernatural growth here. I’m talking about people being drawn to the lighthouse because there is something glowing out of you and your Ministry.

Most of the population in America know about God or who God is. Most would tell you as your out talking to them that they go to Church. They will give you a phone number for them, most of the time a wrong number. So how do we cause growth and relationship to happen? First we have to go out and talk to people out of love. Everytime you talk to someone it doesn’t have to be about salvation, let them see the love within you. Give them a opportuinity to see what God has done in your life without even talking about it. Second, you must listen to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to draw their heart to Him. This doesn’t happen by anything other than listening and loving people around you. You must have a broken heart for the lost in order to reach the lost. Third, as the Holy Spirit begins to cause supernatural growth in your Ministry, begin to build relationships with those people. Not out of trying to build numbers, but out of a sincere heart that wants to see them succeed in finding who they are in your Ministry and in Jesus.

Relationship is very important to me, but I don’t want to take credit from the Holy Spirit by thinking that I merely cause growth because of what I do or say. Jesus related with probably millions, but the Holy Spirit drew people to Him and allowed Him to speak into their lives. Even then He only kept a certain number of people who wanted to continue in relationship with Him. Build relationships with people so that they don’t feel unloved, but allow supernatural growth to happen in your ministry by allowing the Holy Spirit to use you in your full anointing. Listen to His will and know who you are called to be in Him. Know that you are a lighthouse and that the Holy Spirit will draw people to you and you are called to build relationships with them. But most of all know that you have no control over what the Holy Spirit wants to do, you are vessel that allows him to use you and cause supernatural growth to happen. Be possessed by the Holy Spirit, that every word, look, and action be something to draw people in so that you can build relationships with them.

Matthew 10:37“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39″He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.”

Yesterday I talked about how much control we love to hold over every area in our life. Today I woke up thinking about how much God loves us and how we could try everything in our power to return that love and can’t. How could we return a love that we can’t even begin to comprehend? In John 21:15-17 Jesus asks Peter three times if he loves Him, all three times Peter replies I love you, but each time replying with a love like the love that we know. Not the supernatural agape love that the Father gives us, not the same kind of love that cost Jesus His life on the cross.

There are times when I find myself praying with my family in our home, or worshiping, and the love of God rest on my home so thick that we can’t move and everyone in the house will get quiet. God loves us all the time like this but we don’t tap into it every second of the day. We don’t understand what it means to love the way God loves us. We spend years pursuing Him and trying to find more, but what helps us find more is to first understand more of His love. All things stem out of love; creation, healings, prayer for one another, worship, reading your Bible and praying! So why would we think by not pursuing love we can find more? Knowledge is a powerful tool, but knowledge without love is useless! Solomon asked for wisdom above all things he could of asked for. When you really focus on that you find that He already had wisdom in order to ask for wisdom, and that passionate love and desire for more of God brought that wisdom into his life. You could know everything about the Kingdom of Heaven, read your Bible everyday, and pray, but if there is no love involved in your pursuit, then there is no supernatural power.

John 17:22-26 talks about the Glory and love which God has given us through Jesus! That we would understand His love and because He is glorified that we will be glorified in Him. As the Body of Christ I believe we have not stepped into areas of authority because we have forgotten to find that love and use it as our strength. Everything in God is found in His love for us, but so many times we pursue things trying to advance our own kingdom or even trying to look good to everyone else. I don’t want to sound mean, but who cares what everyone thinks if your pursuing the love of the Father and He sets you in with a supernatural authority! How many people do we see that just come to Church and don’t really want to be apart of more? There must be millions that are just comfortable with where they are.

Jesus didn’t heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the leper, and cast out demons because He wanted to look good or be the most popular guy in Church. He didn’t do it because He was commanded to, or because He wanted to prove that God is real. Jesus healed the hurting because He loved them beyond their sickness and mental capacity. It was love that made the blind see, that cast demons out, that raised the dead! If you were to study about the men and women of God moving in power now or any time in the past, you would find that all of them are oozing the love of God out of there lives. This isn’t something that you get by getting more responsibilities, God doesn’t have a rank structure that allows one person to do more than another. God has given the same promises to every man who would pursue after Him with a passionate love. There are no excuses!

Now if we are placed in authority over certain areas of Ministry, we need to understand that love has put us there. You can have a call on your life for that area, but if you don’t seek to understand the true love of the Father, you won’t succeed. When I fell in love with my wife at age 16, we began to learn more about each other and grew in our love for eachother. It caused us to unite, produce, and share that love with our Children. We have been together over 13 years now, have three beautiful children that love God passionately, and it all started out of love. Ministry is no different, if we don’t know or understand how to love then you won’t see growth in your ministry. We have to unite with the Fathers love and as we understand it more we will produce more. Your ministry could be in what ever area comes to your mind, family, youth, a Church, but without uniting with the love of the Father how do you expect to draw hearts and love people to send them back out to share that love.

God has called my family into youth ministry, we have always had a heart for young people. So much that there have been many times where my wife and I have wept over the hearts of our young people. We see things in them that they don’t even see in themselves. We correct things out of love, so that it may cause growth in the ministry and in their hearts. Let love take you beyond your own understanding and just as God has promised, I promise that you will see things in the supernatural opened up to you. That the people around you will begin to notice the love of God consuming you and moving you into the destiny God has planned for your life!
